Faith or Fear – The Choice is Yours

We stress and fret over a lot of things in life. And truth be told some of the things we insistently worry about arise out of our fear—of man. With our jobs and careers or even our relationships for instance, how much of what we do or don’t do is the result of fear? Or put another way, how much of our actions are driven by fear (e.g., fear of reprimand, being excluded, losing our jobs, being denied a promotion, being disliked)?
The Bible declares, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].”
2 Timothy 1:7 AMP.
The Word of God also tells us, “You who [reverently] fear the Lord, trust in the Lord; He is their help and their shield.” Psalms 115:11 AMP. I submit to you that if we begin to reverence God as we should, we won’t have to fear what mere men can do to us. Remember, ALL power is in God’s hands, and He causes ALL things to work together for our good.
If we place our reverent fear where it belongs…as we entrust our affairs to the Lord, we will begin to experience the peace and security He intends for our lives. The choice is yours!
