A Copy Just Won’t Do

You are one of one – Tim Tebow

We spend so much of our lives competing and comparing ourselves to one another that we lose appreciation for the value and gifts God has endowed us with. Yes, they’re not the same as someone else’s nor were they meant to be. We are one body with varying gifts and purposes working together for the benefit of the whole. No one part is any more important or less useful than the other (Romans 12:4-8).

Consider the scriptures which remind us, “I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was being formed in secret, and intricately and skillfully formed [as if embroidered with many colors] in the depths of the earth. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!”  Psalms‬ ‭139:14-15, 17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Let’s think about that for a second. When God made you, He broke the mold—your DNA, like your fingerprint is unique to you. So why would you want to be like anyone else? The world says imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but why copy when you can be an original—the original gift God designed in His infinite wisdom.

Stay true to your purpose and who God made you to be. While there’s nothing wrong with admiring others take care that it doesn’t turn into envy, jealously or a lack of appreciation for who you are. You are One of One and You Rock in your own special way!

Love You All to Life!!
