This time of self-evaluation is not for the purpose of condemnation or shame. It is for the purpose of growth and spiritual development. There are things you must give up in order to move forward and things that you must forgive or receive forgiveness for. Elevation is the goal for you and those around you as you are continually being transformed (Burns).
Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
