He Wants It All

Someone once said to me a closed hand receives nothing from God but an open hand is ready for blessings. That really hit me on so many levels and has since been something I’ve tried to remain cognizant of, especially as it relates to my relationship with God.
“When you decide to give God your all, it requires surrendering every area of your life to Him.”
Now I know this is sometimes easier said than done, and my experience is when you let go, He gives you more and in ways you cannot fathom. So let’s stop parceling out to God only those parts of us we want Him to have or fix, those parts we trust Him with, while holding back that which we value most (our freedom, relationships, money…just to name a few 🤔).
Recall that Abraham obeyed God when asked to offer his only son as a sacrifice. Not only did he end up not having to sacrifice his son, but God also blessed him beyond and above his greatest imagination, all because of his obedience and determination to surrender to God.
“God is no different in [your] life. The moment you follow Him, surrender, and let go, God promises He will bless you. [Like Abraham] He will give you more than your heart could have ever imagined…you will obtain peace, which the world cannot give to you.”
As you reconsider what more of your life, your heart to surrender to God, I encourage you to listen to the lyrics of the song by Forever Jones entitled, He Wants It All. God is ready and waiting for you to surrender your whole heart—He wants it all.

Prayer: Lord, I thank You for the reminder that I am to surrender all to You, holding nothing back. Help me to strip away my need and dependence on people, things, relationships and ideals that I have held closer than I have held You.
