Patiently Trusting In God’s Provision
(Inspired by Trusting God’s Plan in the Waiting devotional, Day 😎
Sometimes we get frustrated and discouraged in waiting and just want a get out of jail free card (you remember the Monopoly game). We inadvertently end up putting our “eggs” or trust in a person instead of God. We don’t necessarily mean to but we can become so desperate for a change that we don’t realize it.
Just think about that time you may have been anxiously looking for a new job/ career opportunity, waiting on a promotion, to have a child, for healing or for a much needed financial blessing. What measures did you or were you willing to take to secure what you wanted? And consider for a moment during the waiting where you really placed your trust. How did that work out for you?
Joseph found himself in a jail cell and it appears he placed his trust in a cupbearer to remember him; however the scriptures tell us in Genesis 40:23 that the cupbearer forgot all about Joseph, never giving him another thought.
God on the other hand never forgets or fails us! In fact, the scriptures admonish us, “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT
When God tells us He will never leave or forsake us, that’s a word we can always count on. He may not come when we want Him, but He’s always on time! It was two full years in the waiting for Joseph but God pulled him out of Pharaoh’s jail cell in an instant.
So, instead of relying on man to give us a favorable outcome, we MUST remember to FROG (Fully Rely on God), trusting alone in His timing and His provision because He Is Sovereign. Whatever God provides is perfect!!
I leave you with this scripture as you trust and wait patiently on your Source of all good and perfect gifts. “So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask Him.” Matthew 7:11 NLT
FFC family and friends, wait on God and occupy [do His business] until He comes!!
Love You All to Life! ❤️
