Do You Really Do?

“Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Let’s face it, we’ve talked many times and so much has been written and taught about trusting God. Given there are so many scriptures in the Bible encouraging us to do so, it must be important and something that God in His infinite wisdom knew we would be prone to struggle with at times. Remember Adam and Eve in the garden? They had everything yet they didn’t fully trust God. 🤔

Can you imagine a you that doesn’t worry or fret, a you that when trouble arises, cuts through all the antics and readily submits to God?A you that declares “it is well with my soul”, and moves through life unmoved, steadfast and consistent regardless of your circumstances? A you that can declare as did Job, “Why do I put myself in jeopardy and take my life in my hands? Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him;…”

‭‭Job‬ ‭13‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

A seemingly tall order to fill indeed; however, the Bible declares “Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God….”

‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Similar to the Winans’ song entitled,The Question Is, I ask: Do you really do trust God with your very life? Do you really do believe that He has your best interest at heart? Do you really do believe that He is in your present and future working all things according to His will?

Prayer: Lord, help me to demonstrate my trust by surrendering to You every anxiety and worry. I really do desire to take my hands off, release my need to control situations and outcomes, and rest in Your provision and promise that You will keep me in perfect peace as I daily lift my eyes to You.

Love You All to Life! ❤️
