And Suddenly
(Inspired by 21 Days of Powerful Breakthrough by Kemberley Washington)
“Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heaven! Praise Him for His mighty works; praise His unequaled greatness! Praise Him with a blast of the ram’s horn; praise Him with the lyre and harp! Praise Him with the tambourine and dancing; praise Him with strings and flutes! Praise Him with a clash of cymbals; praise Him with loud clanging cymbals. Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord!” Psalms 150:1-6 NLT
Are you the play it safe type person or the one who takes risks? Do you hold back praise until you see the evidence or do you praise in advance? If the former, then what’s holding you back—fear of God not coming through, that you may be embarrassed, that you don’t hear or weren’t properly aligned with God?
“If you want to see God make big changes in your life, begin to praise Him big and immediately God will begin to work on your behalf!”
You may be familiar with the acronym PUSH – Pray Until Something Happens. I’m here to drop another one on you, PAISH – Praise As If Something’s Happened! PUSH is good and PAISH takes it to another level because you’re operating at an even higher level of faith, and that is rejoicing as a recipient of the promise. I liken this to when the Bible says, “He calls those things that be not as though they were”, or in other words, creates something out of nothing. (Romans 4:17)
This is exactly what Paul and Silas, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, Hannah, Jeremiah, and King David did as they faced what seemed to be the insurmountable.
So, “start now to praise God in advance. And suddenly, you will see your mountains being leveled and your crooked places made straight.” (Isaiah 45:2)
Warning: This is going to take some courage, and as the gospel artist Norman Hutchins sings, God’s Got A Blessing (With My Name on It). So, get ready and PAISH!!
