But God….

(Adapted from Trusting God’s Plan in the Waiting devotional)

“No matter how bad your circumstances, if you can ask to see God’s perspective, your wait will have purpose because you will grow.”

This was Joseph’s life. Even though things got really bad, he was able to stay faithful and trust God throughout the rough seasons; and as we learned before, he gave God His credit/ His glory before Pharaoh. Now, no one can do that But God!

“If you insert “but God” into your circumstances, it will change your perspective. You may even see God’s preparation in the waiting.

  • But God gave me a platform to share my faith when I was battling cancer…
  • But God allowed my divorce /long-term relationship break up to draw me closer in my dependence on Him…
  • But God used my time in jail to help troubled youth avoid that path in life…
  • But God provided for my family during the pandemic…
  • But God allowed me to be single to encourage other singles…
  • But God used my layoff to create a deeper dependence on Him…”

And one of my own, But God delivered me from a job before they had a chance to implement their plans to cause me harm.

Prayer: God help me to see Your hand of preparation while I am waiting. I am encouraged and will lean on Your Word that declares “…No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.”  1 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

So God, no matter how difficult my circumstances, help me to pull that “But God” out of my pocket.

And…when you need a little extra pick me up (I certainly do from time to time) take a listen to the gospel songs, “I’m Getting Ready [for Overflow]” by Tasha Cobbs and “For Every Mountain” by Kurt Carr.  I promise they’ll uplift your spirit and cause you to walk on in confidence because of God.

Love You All to Life! ❤️
