Planted and Grounded

(Adapted from Grow Through It: 7 Healing Practices That Cultivate Resilience – Essie Faye)

“He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.” Psalms‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In order to withstand the challenges of life, we must be planted and connected to the power source so we can get the nourishment we need. As a result, [we become] productive and in sync with God-ordained seasons. Our leaves won’t wither, but instead, grow in good health.

“As we practice connecting with ourselves honestly [through reading and meditating on God’s Word] we cultivate resilience in the face of difficulty. Just like deep roots anchor a tree, honesty provides strength and stability to our relationship with ourselves, with God, and with others. When life hits hard and we experience loss, disappointment, or pain, the power of truth liberates and sustains us.“

James Fortune sings a song entitled “Live Through It”, and this is absolutely critical if we want to be victorious. Repeat this refrain as often as needed to encourage you to move forward, and know that God will give you victory!

Live through it

Grow through it

Get through it

You can make it if you just

Pray through it

Don’t let this be the end for you

So live through it.

Prayer: Lord, help my faith in You to be deeply rooted and strong like a planted tree.

Love You All to Life! ❤️
