Just A Little More Grace

“Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.”

Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬ NLT‬‬

Sometimes we allow petty things to get in the way and keep us from displaying the love of Christ. At other times we quickly lose patience with others, especially if they have made mistakes or are found at fault. And yes, oftentimes we’re as hard on ourselves as we are on others, and we must learn to give ourselves (and others) a little grace.

The next time you catch yourself losing patience (in my case, losing myself altogether 🤦🏽‍♀️), step back and remember how patient God is with us—the countless times we have erred and instead of the scolding we deserved God wrapped His loving arms around us. That’s what forbearing one another in love looks like and we all can extend just a little more grace. Besides, this “gifting looks good on us”, and God will be pleased. 😉
