In the Wilderness But Never Alone
(Excerpts and inspiration from The Wonder of the Wilderness by Christin Jayakaran)
“For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined. You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our backs. You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.” Psalms 66:10-12 NKJV
“As hard as this [wilderness] season will be, the greatest joy will be to discover the wonder of who God is in this time.”
I know you’re thinking, I don’t want to go through any more rough times, I’ve already been through enough for a lifetime. And I can’t for another minute take sitting alone with myself, listening to my own breath, and the confusion and lack of clarity that would surround me. But don’t you know that God is so vast (and we are so flawed) that there’s always something we can learn and grow through?
“He will display His power and glory like never before. He will prove that He is the supreme Redeemer in the way that He brings good out of the worst that life throws at us. He will make a way in the desert when there is literally no other way. He will protect you and provide for you right down to the minutest detail.”
Hallelujah, all praises to our God!!
“He will, interestingly enough, transform you into someone radically different than the person who walked into the wilderness. You will find yourself comfortable in solitude, stoic in the face of storms and still amidst the swirling seas of life.”
I don’t know about you but I long to be able to stand still and not doubt God for one minute, to trust Him with ALL my heart, mind and soul in the midst of trials and tribulations.
“Are you ready to embrace the wilderness for all that it is and for all that it will do for you? Are you ready to be embraced by the God who will lead you in and bring you out of the wilderness? God, for whom nothing is impossible!”
Prayer: Lord, Your Word declares that All things are working together for our good and that All things are possible through Christ who loves us. Help me to embrace these truths, not dread and be willing to walk through the wilderness with You.
Love You All to Life! ❤️
