Humility—The Growth Factor

(Adapted from “Grow Through It: 7 Healing Practices That Cultivate Resilience” by Essie Faye)

“Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭32‬:‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Making mistakes can teach us valuable lessons. Yet, growth can emerge from a mistake. We are human, prone to error, and it’s okay. Let me say that again, “It’s Okay!!” We’re not perfect, and God doesn’t expect us to be. He knows our flaws and gives us grace for our mistakes.”

Given this, I can’t help from wondering why we have such a hard time admitting our mistakes, reflecting on how we got there and (the most challenging part), learning to forgive ourselves? 🤔

“In our weakness and vulnerability, we acknowledge our need for God’s presence and power in our lives. When we acknowledge our weaknesses, we can lean into the strength provided by the Almighty God.” And there’s no shame in that. We just need to Grow Through It!!

Prayer: Father God, I need Your presence, power, and grace to live each day with humility, acknowledging Your preeminence in my life.

Love You All to Life! ❤️
